MADRIX no Key displayed

I have been at this for several days now and have had no luck. I have test my lights and everything works. My DMX box lights up yellow and green once it is connected to my PC via USB.
I have watched several youtube videos on how to set it up and I have had no luck. However the thing I find odd is "no madrix key" is displayed on the interface. I downloaded MADRIC 3.X from this site. Please any advice...

Hi,
to be able to help you we need some more informations.
What kind of DMX Box you are talking about (NEO?).
Is the no MADRIX Key is diplayed from the beginning of running MADRIX?

PC-DMX 512...
Yes, the no key is displayed upon start up and remains there.

And did you use a MADRIX Key for the MADRIX License?

Where do I add the key? No I do not have one but I am sure I can figure that part out. However I have look all through the menu bars and did not see anywhere where it was asking for a product key. I honestly was under the impression that this software was free, much like freestyler

Ok
No MADRIX is a commercial software which needs a software protection dongle (the MADRIX Key) or a MADRIX interface like the MADRIX Neo or MADRIX Plexus.
You can run and use MADRIX without dongle for one hour where the output signal is interrupted each minute for a short periode. This we call DEMO mode and it is free.
If you buy MADRIX you did not by the software, this you can download for free, you buy the hardware (MADRIX key or MADRIX interface).
