External Touch Screen Display Options

Hi,
In the past I've used a large touch screen from Acer, as it's only about $200, but my last couple of installs just don't have the space for a 22" monitor. Currently I'm solving this problem by using a small laptop with remote desktop software (team viewer), but this is certainly no ideal. I've tried a small 10" touch screen from Amazon, but it was a piece of junk. After looking around, my only option for a small, quality touchscreen is an Elo Touch, but a 10.1" is about $350 & doesn't come with a stand (and the Elo stand is about $200). I've considered just using an iPad or android tablet, but I'm concerned that this will rob processing power from Madrix & slow things down. Plus, if it's not hardwired there will certainly be lag. I'm curious as to how everyone else is solving this problem, surely there is a good solution!
Also, has anyone tried using an Elgato Stream Deck? I have a couple, but haven't figured out how to use them with Madrix yet. Thanks!
