Pixel Spacing in Visualizer

Hi

I am building a column of individual RGB pixels. Looking at all the video tutorials and also the manual have not been able to figure out how to represent them better in spacing as they are in a custom tube that is only 4' hight, right now the default spacing makes them look at least 10' to 14' tall which is the the Z axis volume we are going to have in reality. Do I need to map this somehow to an object instead? Any insight into the process for this appreciated.

Hi cwojo,

Welcome to the MADRIX Forum.

Are you referring to the Previews (Preview Deck A/B/ Output/ External Previews) in MADRIX? The visual outcome is always a combination of the Patch and the used effects. The MADRIX 5 Preview doesn't work like a visualizer, it should be seen as a technical preview, because it will differ from the reality in most cases. The preview will provide you an visual impression on how the effects look like in MADRIX 5. In some cases it could make sense to add spaces between pixels until you achieve a better approximation of the shape. Sometimes it can also make sense to Patch an 3D object (with only fixtures on the surface) as 2D in MADRIX 5. For example a column (a cylinder) can be also patched as a rectangle.
