Difference Between Madrix and ETC EOS

Looking for the simplest way to let an ETC EOS console trigger a Cue List in Madrix without treating it as a Media Server. A distinct cue list on the EOS that simply sends a trigger for the next Cue to occur across the network, as programmed in the Cue List on MAdrix.
Thanks in advance.

Hello demurebroke,
Welcome to the MADRIX forum.
There are different options connection options and commands availble to trigger MADRIX 5 software via the EOS console.
- Connection Options:
- Art-Net: Simply connect both in the same network and send the Data via Art-Net from the EOS to MADRIX. In that case you have to add an Art-Net Input node in MADRIX. To add an Art-Net Input node you have to open the "MADRIX Device Manager" and activate the "Art-Net" tab. After adding a new Input node you will need to assign a desired Remote Configuration
- sACN: MADRIX is alos able receive sACN data. Also in that case you will need to add a sACN node and change it as input device. To enable sACN you will need to open the MADRIX Options and activate the "Devices Network" tab. To switch it as Input Device you will need to open the MADRIX "Device Manager".
Now you have to assingn the desired Remote Configuration.
- OSC: Since the release of MADRIX 5.7 MADRIX is also able to receive OSC commands. As far as I know the EOS console can also send OSC directly. In that case you only need to enable OSC via "Preferences > Remote Control > OSC".
- Commands:
- In case of a Art-Net or sACN remote configuration you are able to trigger the Cue List with: "Cue List > Go" command or you are able to trigger a desired Storage Place at a desired Deck with:"Deck A / Deck B > Place Index"
- In case of OSC remote control you can use the command: "/CueLists/Cues/Index/Up" to trigger the next Cue of a Cue List or "/DeckA or /DeckB/Places/Index/Up
The full ducumentation of OSC commands you will find under the following link:

With the help of the following chapter of the MADRIX manual and tutorials you should be able to configure a Art-Net or sACN remote control of MADRIX 5:
