Found artnet node without valid IP address in the PollReply
hello all,
it's my first time on your forum, just bought MADRIX basic for playing with my LED draps.
I really need you help because as soon as I use "device manager" I receive the following message.

I installed MADRIX onto 2 different computer and I have the same result, no link with LED draps. Bu tI can see them on the device manager and I can activiate them on DMX panel.
let me you know that all my LED draps work fine with another software.
I spent out many hours, we a show tomorrow and I'd really appreciate your help on it !
Thanks in advance
cheers

Re: Found artnet node without valid IP address in the PollRe
Hello fred love,
Welcome to the MADRIX forum.
.
It seems there is an issue in the Art-Net configuration respectively in the IP-Address assignment between the used network interface card of the PC and the Art-Net nodes.
.
Please make sure that all Art-Net devices operates in the same IP-Address range and all devices should have the same subnet mask.
.
For instance:
The IP-Address of the PC is 10.0.0.1 and the subnet mask is 255.0.0.0
The Art-Net node can have all IP-Address in the 10.x.x.x IP range, for instance one node can have the IP Address 10.0.0.11, an other the IP Address 10.0.0.12 and so an. But all nodes have to be in the same subnet like the PC.
.
I hope that helps.

Re: Found artnet node without valid IP address in the PollRe
thanks for your fast reply Guertler, but this is the case in this IP range 2.0.0.100 for the network card.
and 2.0.0.16 for the first LED drap fro example
is this right for you ?

Re: Found artnet node without valid IP address in the PollRe
Hi,
.
The IP addresses seem to look right. You might want to check the Logfile to see if it provides more information about this error. In MADRIX, go to Tools > Logfile..
.
Are you sure that those are LED drapes that are controlled via Art-Net?
.
A connection via Ethernet could mean many things. What kind of product is it?
.
And yes, you need to tell MADRIX which LED fixtures you want to control. You can use the menu Preferences > Matrix Generator or Preferences > Patch for this task. But since we don't have any information about your fixture, we won't be able to tell the exact settings that will be necessary.
.
Furthermore, you might want to check the settings of the Windows Firewall. Learn all steps here: http://help.madrix.com/m3/html/madrix/h ... dows_.html
.
The Device Manager also provides features, such as Highlight Device, that can help you test if the fixture receives data. The same with Tools > DMX Fader Tool or Tools > Task Watcher.
.
You might also want to check out the Troubleshooting section about Art-Net in the user guide here: http://help.madrix.com/m3/html/madrix/h ... e_net.html
.
Good luck!
