single line of three stripes of leds - serial (180 leds)

Hi, i'm setting up a single line of three stripes, serially united (180 leds, 1 matrix 1x1). I need to obtain a sliding effect. Is there any examples of similar solutions to adapt?
Wich visulization should I choose in the madrix software to view a single led line?
