Key?

Key?
I am working on a lighting project but I'm not sure which key I might need.
Here's my setup: I'm working with an Advatek PixLite 4, which can control up to 4,080 RGB pixels (the documentation for the Pixlite says that it has "24 universes of pixel output"). I am controlling the PixLite via an ethernet connection and sACN. The LEDs are in single strands of 80.
If I were to purchase Madrix, which key would I need? I'm a student on a budget, so is there anyway to get this done with one of the basic keys?
Thanks!

Re: Key?
Hi there,
How many strands of LEDs would you like to control?
Or in other words, how may RGB pixels do you have in total?
Thanks!

Re: Key?
Okay, these lights are surely RGB LEDs?
If that is the case, you wish to control:
4000 pixels x 3 RGB color channels = 12,000 control channels
12,000 control channels / 512 DMX channels = 23.44 = 24 DMX universes.
Since a MADRIX KEY basic only unlocks 8,192 DMX channels / 16 DMX universes for the MADRIX 3 Software, this would not be enough. If you don't want to buy a MADRIX KEY professional, you could think about sending the same data to multiple LED strands for parts of the installation, for example.
Does that help?
