They usually tie it in through artnet for. I give them PC IP address, and they ask me to give them UDP commands for their system. They mostly use showcontrol from daktronics.

Thank you for your reply. It really depends on the site. I know that sometimes we can put a line in from their sound board/pc with music software. Some have midi note. But often times, the most common is a software that send udp commands. Sometimes they use ask for udp commands for timeline triggers...

What if there is no time code on site?
Usually they just have an analog mixer board. Sometimes they use showcontrol for sound / video effects.
It all depends on the limitations on site. However, they usually do not have time code present.
