Perhaps this could be a feature request. This is a common feature of many different pixel controllers, and can really help minimize processing load on a Madrix system with a large number of LEDs.

I think I've been having the same error. When I shutdown Madrix, there is still a background Madrix task active in Task Manager. Before I shutdown, Madrix is listed at the top of the task manager as an app, and not in background tasks. After I close Madrix, the listing in the app section goes away, ...
