Unable to contact device via ArtNet

Post by lightlab »

Windows 7 PC

When connected via USB, port output works fine. Confirmed while connected via USB that the IP is reflected as the default IP printed on the side.

Went to device manager, added an artnet output. Set IP to Nebula default IP. Enabled device in DMX tab.
Ethernet occasionally blinks, but is not giving any output.
Per the manual:
Step 3) Assign correct network settings in the Windows operating system.
(Recommended default settings:
IP address 10.0.0.1 / Subnet mask 255.0.0.0)
This is not very well elaborated. I can't connect to the Nebula's default IP via my browser, so I'm not sure what exactly needs to be done here.

Hello lightlab,
.
It means you have also to change the IP address of the used network card of your PC to 10.X.X.X and a subnet of 255.0.0.0.
Please have a look to the following link:
http://help.madrix.com/m3/html/madrix/i ... e_net.html
Here you can learn more about the network settings of your PC.
.
If you have set the PC to the same IP address range like the connected NEBULA (Default the NEBULA has an IP address of: 10.X.X.X), MADRIX will find the NEBULA automatically when you search for it in the "Art-Net" tab of the MADRIX "Device Manager".
