Bounding Box 'moves' between computers
Bounding Box 'moves' between computers
I have a madrix project that has 3-4 bounding boxes per bin.
I created everything on my laptop then tried to transfer it to my show computer but found the bounding boxes are mis-aligned now. Why is this happening and what is the most efficient way to fix this across 400 bins?

Hi jholmes,
How did you transfer your setup to the other computer?
Could you please send us both MADRIX setups via e-mail to info[at]madrix[dot]com?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Bounding Box 'moves' between computers
My apologies for dropping the ball on this issue. I was unable to get both files for comparison purposes. I have a follow-up question, however.
In my show file, I have about 400 bins.
I originally used the "map" feature by creating fixture groups in the patch editor and selecting my groups via Map Settings > Preset (Dropdown menu).
However, my patch is going to be changing drastically soon. I assumed I could just change my fixture groups and the maps would auto-adjust across all bins. However, when I open the "Map Settings" window, every preset is listed as "Custom Size."
How do I resolve this? I don't even know where to begin now.

Hi jholmes,
Thank you for your feedback.
This is currently the normal behavior of MADRIX 5.
There is already a feature request ticket (#3163) existent, addressing the need to change this behavior.

Re: Bounding Box 'moves' between computers
Thanks for your response. What is your timetable for releasing this?
I'm slated to reconfigure my 400 bin (1,500 bounding boxes) project next month and I really need a solution. I can send you the old + new show file if that helps BETA test this feature.

Hi jholmes,
Sorry, but the feature request #3163 has not been processed yet. Unfortunately I can't give you a timetable, when it is going to be released. Of course, we will keep you updated about the developement of the feature.
Thank you for your understanding.

Re: Bounding Box 'moves' between computers
Good morning,
Has there been any movement on this? I'm trying to put off doing this work manually in hopes of an update but I'm running out of time.
