Stable Codec
Greetings
First off, have to say thank you for such an amazing and intuitive product. It's truly remarkable what you've created...
I posted a question on twitter to Madrix team a few weeks back asking: What is the best Codec to use with Madrix? The response i received was .mov
.mov is a container and i was looking to know the most stable codec i.e. Animation, PhotoJPEG etc
i'm having some issues with Madrix crashing often when getting things 'moving' and feel it's probably due to codec issue. I'm currently using PhotoJPEG @ 75% quality.
My apologies if this has been discussed previously in the forum
Also is there and plan to support .mp4 in the future?
Thank You kindly
Respect

Re: Stable Codec
Hi blackwatch,
.
because i am not so familar with video codec stuff currently i will forward your question to our developer which develop the Quicktime support.
.
Beside this i can told you for MADRIX the native Quicktime support was implemented, so that each .mov file should be work. Which codec is used within the container decides about the performance, so some codecs are necessary to be able play backward very well, where othere codecs have smaller file sizes.
.
So the question is what are your requirements for the video?
.
Can you explain a little bit more detailed whats happen to cause the issue, i mean if you write: "often when getting things moving". Did you mean the movement within the video or MADRIX function?

Re: Stable Codec
sorry for the delay, our developer isn´t available currently.
.
Please can you send us such a .mov file which cause MADRIX to crash by email
so we can test this in our office.
.
thanks
