16bit control on LED colors
16bit control on LED colors
Hi All,
I'm a new user on Madrix and I would like to seek some help from all the experienced user here.
I would like to control 16bit RGBW led strips via DMX but I could not find any fixture profile in the fixture library. I've tried to create a new fixture but I do not know how to assign fine channels to a dmx channel.
Greatly appreciated if you can share with me how to get this done. Thank you.

Re: 16bit control on LED colors
Hello foxrider,
Welcome to the MADRIX forum.
MADRIX is designed to control 8bit fixtures.
If you want to control a 16bit color fixture you will have 2 possibilities.
Option 1: Set the fine value of the fixture to a fixed value 255.
Now you will work only with the coarse value and you can control the fixture with 255 steps.
Option 2: Assign the DMX channel for coarse and fine to the same color definition and positon. In that case both channels will get the same value. And it will a bit more emulate a 16 bit resolution.
