Import from Madrix 3 to Madrix 5 Bug
Source System: Madrix 3.6h
Target System: Madrix 5.5
Effect: S2L Shapes (maybe other Effects, too...)
If you import an effect from Madrix 3 to Madrix 5 (via right click on empty effect then open and select the effect exorted from Madrix 3) the pich values (first and second) are switched.
To correct the old effect you have to swap values from first pitch input box to second, and second value to the first.
See screenshots:
1: Madrix 3 original effect
3: Madrix 5 imported effect - broken
3: Madrix 5 repaired effect

Re: Import from Madrix 3 to Madrix 5 Bug
Hi MTX-Lightning,
We double checked the issue and came to the following conclusion:
- We assume the Storage Place was imported with a different patch. Is this correct?
- This also means the effects will be scaled to the new matrix size / patch. For example the "Pitch" parameter defines the size of the objects in % of the Matrix Size. This also applies for the "Size" parameter.
- Therefore if you change the patch you will need to adjust the effect settings accordingly, just like as you did.
Thanks!

Re: Import from Madrix 3 to Madrix 5 Bug
Okay, I have checked now with an old show / patch, and you were right.
With old patch it works like in 3.x.
Only if I use the new patch (rotated 90 degree for better preview, but mapped as old patch) I get the "broken" effect.
But this is right - as you say - because the new patch is affected to the absolut settings of the effect.
So switching the values work.
My mistake
