Help with mixed fixture configuration please
time sensitive question from an inexperienced first time user
I have 5 Custom Led bars that i control through a Plexus
i now have 5 LED PARs I would like to add to my strands
i cannot figure out how to configure in Madrix and when cabling the lights
how can i ad the LED pars to the end of the existing strands
daisy chain them between plexus and the strands? and address in patch?
thank you

Re: Help with mixed fixture configuration please
Hello! I have a similar problem as whasty.
I have 8 chauvet color palette and would like to add some ADJ Mega tribar to my patch and workspace/matrix generator.
I want to map out the different fixtures but I can´t understand how I get it on the same workspace/matrix generator.
best regards
Fredrik

Re: Help with mixed fixture configuration please
Hi Fredrik,
You have correctly understood that MADRIX needs to know which fixtures you want to control, how many of them, their addressing and position, etc.
To create such a patch file you can use the Matrix Generator (go to Preferences > Matrix Generator) or the Patch (go to Preferences > Patch).
When using 1 type of fixture, the Matrix Generator is a helpful tool. But when using different fixtures, you need to use the Patch. The Patch has its own matrix generator and offers a lot more options to address and add fixtures to your workspace.
In the Patch, press Add to add new fixtures. Just make sure to add them to a free area of the workspace by also setting up Start Position X and Y. Afterwards, you can freely configure them. (In a sense, you can use several matrix generators in the Patch)
Does that help?
