Record Output to file.
I'd like to be able to record the output of Madrix to a file, so that i could use it for "non-real time" applications.
If the output file was in a sensible format i coudl use it to play on a non pc based peice of hardware, for use in architectual installations etc.

Thats great news to hear. Its important that the saved file is easy to use so that it can be manipulated into use for all sorts of things.
What kind of time frame are you talking for this feature?

Hi can you give me a time frame for this? I have some urgent jobs to plan, i would like to use madrix, but if i can't then i will have to use somethign else.
Re: Record Output to file.
Sorry, i think it is not ready before april 2011.
I mean this feature is on the map for the Release in front of the ProLight & Sound 2011 in FF. But how exactly it works and if it is maybe a pro feature isn´t clear in this moment.

Re: Record Output to file.
I see that the newest version of Madrix now supports capturing output and recording as Plexus / DMX files.Wissmann wrote:Sorry, i think it is not ready before april 2011.

Is there any information available about the saved file format?
Re: Record Output to file.
The DXD file format is for our new stand alone interface PLEXUS.
This interface is used for running without pc and non live effects.
We hope to be able to deliver this interface PLEXUS in the beginning of June.

What is the format of the DXD file? I've had a quick look at it, but can't see any obvious data patterns etc. I'd like to be able to use it to control other devices, ( not plexus )...Wissmann wrote:The DXD file format is for our new stand alone interface PLEXUS.

Re: Record Output to file.
Hi mrpackethead,
The DXD file format was specifically developed for the MADRIX PLEXUS.
After careful consideration, it was decided that it remains a closed file format.
I'm sorry, but no, we will not open the format or disclose any specifications other than generally necessary for the end user.
Thank you very much!
