Merging Two Libraries
Hello,
I've been maintaining and creating fixtures in a copy of the Madrix library which has been going quite well. Now that Madrix has just released an update I would like to merge in the new additions with my current library. I open the fixture editor, open my library then click merge libraries and load in the new library from the 5.3b update.
I get a warning saying that there's "at least two fixtures have the same name...Eurolite Par 56 QCL 6CH mode"
However, it looks like ALL fixtures now have duplicates. Does the merge libraries not check for duplicates? How does one resolve this?

Re: Merging Two Libraries
Hi mercury2768,
There seems to be an issue with the fixture editor. I will hand it over to our software developers for evaluation. Thank you for your report!
A workaround could be to export and import single fixtures from one library into the other one. This can be done by selecting "Fixture" > "Save Fixture..." or "Load Fixture..." in the Fixture Editor.
Here you will find further information:
http://help.madrix.com/m5/html/fixturee ... tures.html
You also have the option to change the Fixture Library , which will be loaded by MADRIX 5. You can achieve this by selecting "Preferences" > "Options..." > "Startup" > "Load Alternative Fixture Library" in MADRIX 5. Just copy both Fixture Libraries into a folder and load the Fixture Library, which you currently need.
Here you will find further information about the "Startup" options:
